Debut of Lady Liberty Statue
On July 4, 2009 in Norwich, CT we debuted our 8 ft high Statue of Liberty to a crowd of over 500 people at a Tea Party Rally. My group, the Constitution Brigade, also handed out almost 500 copies of the Constitution. Lady Liberty has been invited to parades, fairs and fund-raising events for conservative candidates. It's a wonderful symbol. My Brigade members accompany the Statue on her travels throughout Connecticut. Hopefully, her message will spread throughout the United States and Brigades defending our Constitution and recognizing the importance of the Declaration of Independence will bloom in all 50 states. On Sunday, November 8 at 1 pm in Hartford the Constitution Brigade is marching in the largest Veteran's Day Parade in New England. Actually, it's one of the largest in the whole United States! We will have our Staute of Liberty on wheels, too. If anyone would like to march, please contact me at daria@novakforcongress.com and I will provide details. I hope many people join us on November 8.
We are expecting a minimum of 25,000 people at the parade and, weather permitting, may see as many at 40,000! Lady Liberty was on the steps of the Capital in Hartford when I spoke on September 11th this year during the National Tea Party Express rally. She has traveled to other parades, fairs, rallies, protests, and patriotic events this year, too. Her message is straight forward and remains strong like our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
The United States remain a shining beacon of hope in a world challenged by turbulent winds. We intend to be keepers of the torch and to teach upcoming generations about our rights, responsibilities and duty to this great land. It is our prvilege to do so. I invite everyone here to join us, no matter where you are located.
